We opened the doors of our Japanese restaurant, Akasaka. at this very location in 1987, and have since grown into one of the South Sound’s premier Japanese dining establishments.

Our signature combination of traditional Japanese techniques and sincere service creates a memorable meal for everyone who chooses to celebrate, commiserate, plan, or reminisce at Akasaka.

It does not matter whether you are lifelong connoisseur of Japanese cuisine, or have never even seen a sushi roll. Our mission is to create an atmosphere that welcomes everyone, allowing all to experience the freshness and variety of our traditional menu.

Now in our third decade, we at Akasaka hope to continue surpassing–even redefining–our guests’ expectations for local Japanese cuisine.
