We are a small business just getting started.

During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, I was ordering a lot of fabric and sewing lots of masks. I was a little disappointed that it was taking so long for my orders to be shipped so I got the idea that I could sell fabric myself. I’ve always wanted to sell fabric and sewing supplies so I jumped on the idea and started Mel’s Fabrics.

During the process of getting started, we started a home remodeling project that became much bigger and more complicated than we ever expected it could be and my beloved cat became sick, had surgery, and passed away during all of this as well. For a few months I had a live site and I did nothing with it. I didn’t announce it and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to move forward with this project because of the emotional roller coaster I had been on. I’ve attempted to have a logo created three separate times and all three artists I worked with did not understand what I was looking for or didn’t complete what I was asking for. I’ve finally decided that although a logo and branding are important, I would like to move forward with this process and see where it goes.
